Guadeloupe

The French-owned islands of Guadeloupe are an incredible destination that is commonly overlooked by US travelers, mostly because people simply haven't heard of it. The islands are incredibly diverse, with both volcanic and non-volcanic areas and separate beaches of black and white sand. Pigeon Island, west of the main landmass, offers scuba diving in an area so beautiful that Jacques Cousteau filmed a documentary there. And arguably, the best part is that all the tourism goes on in the background, with no obvious "tourist traps," offering a more authentic island experience.

US Virgin Islands

If you're into exploring, the US Virgin Islands will certainly hold your interest. The islands' perimeter is dotted with hidden beaches and coves, and some of the islands are uninhabited and ripe for exploration! The Bahamas
