Text messages can be sent to any mobile phone number or email address worldwide. The ACR Bivy Stick has a US mobile number so your friends can easily send it text messages from their cell phones. In an emergency, you can send an SOS to Global Rescue directly from a button on the Bivy Stick without the use of a smartphone. Like all Iridium devices, an ACR Bivy Stick can work virtually anywhere. All you need is a clear view of the sky. The ACR Bivy Stick is compatible with Bluetooth-capable iPhone and Android smartphones.

Weather Reports: With ACR Bivy Stick, uncertainty about the weather will never ruin an outdoor adventure again. Simply download a 3-day or 7-day weather forecast for your current location.

SOS Button: In an emergency, an SOS button on the ACR Bivy Stick lets you initiate a message to Global Rescue that includes your location. An SOS can also be sent from your smartphone via the app.

Check-In Button: Send a preset message with your GPS location to your friends so they can stay aware of your status.

Water & Dust Resistance & Shock Rating: Bivy Stick is designed for survivability. It has an IP67 rating against water and dust intrusion so it has full protection against dust and other particulates (including a vacuum seal tested against continuous airflow) and against immersion in water for up to 30 minutes at depths of up to 1 meter.

What is GroupTrack™?

This feature only applies if multiple ACR Bivy Stick devices are being rented. GroupTrack allows group messaging simultaneously amongst all members of the group.
