The Inmarsat IsatPhone 2 satellite phone provides voice, SMS, email-to-text and 2.4 kbps internet access. This satellite phone is effective for users operating in non-mountainous areas between 50° N and 50° S. Its safety features include an Assistance Button and the ability to leave a breadcrumb trail of GPS locations by text or email. In a critical situation, the Assistance Button can be configured to send multiple recipients a message with your current GPS fix, the time at which this fix was acquired and the time that the alert was triggered.
