Standard Plus Limitations
The Standard Plus Plan is subject to a Fair Use Policy (FUP). If total Standard IP data usage exceeds 30,000 MB during a calendar month, Inmarsat reserves the right to throttle down the best-effort data speed to 128 kbps. ISDN is not available. Streaming IP services are disabled by default but may be enabled by Customer request contingent upon credit approval.

Payment Method
Credit approval is based on a valid U.S. credit card, substantial deposit, approved company purchase order, or a Dunn & Bradstreet credit report. By default, the Customer’s credit card will be billed automatically each month for the charges described in this agreement. If Customer does not provide the U.S. credit card for the automatic monthly billing, an additional $2 per month per phone charge will apply, and the Customer agrees to pay within 30 days of the statement date for service continuation. Payment must be made by check drawn on a US bank, money order, wire transfer, or a U.S. credit card.
-
Money Bundle
The Money Bundle applies to all types of usage (except fixed-to-mobile calls). The unused part of the Money Bundle are lost and do not roll to a subsequent month.
-
Billing
Customer agrees to pay for all data and calls sent or received through the BGAN terminal. Standard IP data usage is billed in tiers according to the total usage of Standard IP data during a calendar month (see chart). For example, if you use 19 MB of Standard IP, there will be no Usage Charge or if you use 251 MB of Standard IP you would be billed $750. Standard IP data access sessions are measured in 100 KB increments with a 100 KB minimum per “session CDR”. A session CDR is generated for every 2 MB of usage or every 12 hours of connection time, whichever comes first. Voice and Streaming IP services are billed in 30 second increments with a 30 second minimum per call. SMS messages are limited to 160 characters, and charges apply for each addressed recipient even if an SMS message is not received. Customer is advised that other types of calls not shown in the rate chart can be at much higher rates, and the Customer is responsible to know the rate before making the call. Definitions: Public Switched Telephone Number (PSTN); Mobile Satellite Service (MSS); Inmarsat Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN); Inmarsat FleetBroadband (FBB); Inmarsat SwiftBroadband (SBB); Inmarsat Global Satellite Phone Service (GSPS); Short Message Service (SMS); Megabyte of Standard IP data (MB); Kilobyte of Standard IP data (KB).
-
Initial Term
This Service Agreement has an Initial Term of 12 months as measured from the activation date of the specific Unit being provisioned. The month of activation counts as the first whole month of the Initial Term of the contract, regardless of the day of the month of the activation. Breach of this Agreement by early cancellation will result in an early cancellation charge equal to the total monthly service charges remaining on the Initial Term. After the Initial Term is completed the Service Agreement has automatic one month renewal terms for each subsequent month but the customer can cancel without penalty any time.
-
Cancellation Procedure
To cancel service, the CUSTOMER must provide Outfitter Satellite with an express written, signed intent to cancel. The CUSTOMER remains responsible for airtime and other usage until 3 business days after the CUSTOMER’s requested service cancellation date, and if this service cancellation date is after the 25th of a month, the CUSTOMER is liable for any service fees to be billed in the subsequent month. Upon cancellation, there is no refund or proration for unused bundled or prepaid usage or any service fees. Cancellation notices must be sent to info@OutfitterSatellite.com or faxed to 615-902-0028 or mailed to 2727 Old Elm Hill Pike, Nashville, TN 37214 USA.
FAIR USE POLICY (FUP): BECAUSE THE INMARSAT NETWORK PROVIDES STANDARD IP DATA ON A CONTENDED BASIS, THE FUP DESCRIBED HERE IS IN PLACE TO HELP ENSURE THAT EVERY BGAN USER BEHAVES IN A RESPONSIBLE WAY SO THAT ALL USERS CAN BENEFIT FROM ACCESS TO THE NETWORK.
-
INMARSAT EMPLOYS A SERVICE AWARE CONTROL & CHARGING (SAC-C) SYSTEM TO SUPPORT TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT AND DETERMINE IF THE TOTAL STANDARD IP DATA TRANSFERRED DURING THE CURRENT CALENDAR MONTH HAS EXCEEDED 30,000 MB AFTER WHICH THE MAXIMUM DATA TRANSFER RATE FOR STANDARD IP DATA WILL BE THROTTLED DOWN TO 128 KBPS UNTIL THE END OF THE CALENDAR MONTH. MB MEANS MEGABYTE OF DATA TRANSFERRED. KBPS REFERS TO A DATA TRANSFER RATE IN KILOBITS PER SECOND.
-
FAIR USE INCLUDES APPLICATIONS SUCH AS EMAIL, WEB BROWSING AND INSTANT MESSAGING, BUT ANY TRAFFIC TYPE DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE OR DETRIMENTAL TO THE INMARSAT NETWORK (AS DETERMINED BY INMARSAT) CAN BE IDENTIFIED AT ANY TIME BY INMARSAT TO VIOLATE THE FUP. IN PARTICULAR, THE FOLLOWING HIGH-BANDWIDTH APPLICATIONS VIOLATE THE FUP: MAINSTREAM UN-OPTIMIZED COMMERCIAL VOICE-OVER-IP CLIENTS SUCH AS SKYPE, MOVIE DOWNLOADS AND BROADCAST OR POINT-TO-POINT STREAMING INCLUDING MAINSTREAM VIDEO SITES SUCH AS YOUTUBE AND INTERNET RADIO, MP3 AND MP4 DOWNLOADS, POINT-TO-POINT FILE SHARING SUCH AS BITTORRENT, DIRECTCONNECT, E-DONKEY, FASTTRACK KAZAA, GNUTELLA, OPEN FT AND OTHER P2P CLIENTS.
-
OUTFITTER SATELLITE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO USE FIREWALLS TO BLOCK TYPES OF TRAFFIC THAT VIOLATE THE FUP. OUTFITTER SATELLITE ALSO RESERVES THE RIGHT TO OPTIMIZE HTTP TRAFFIC VOLUMES BY USING TECHNOLOGY SUCH AS LOSSY OR LOSSLESS COMPRESSION, ADVERTISEMENT OPTIMIZATION, AND OTHER COMPRESSION AND FILTERING TECHNOLOGIES. FOR EXAMPLE, PICTORIAL GRAPHICS VIEWED OVER A WEB BROWSER MAY BE REDUCED IN SIZE 50%. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE CUSTOMER EMPLOY ANTIVIRUS, ANTI-SPAM, AND ANTI-SPYWARE POLICIES WITH AUTOMATIC UPDATES ON CUSTOMER-OWNED COMPUTER EQUIPMENT TO PREVENT UNWANTED OR UNAUTHORIZED TRAFFIC.
-
IF TRAFFIC THAT IS NON-COMPLIANT WITH THE FUP IS DETECTED, OUTFITTER SATELLITE AND INMARSAT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO APPLY AN ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT POLICY TO THE NON-COMPLIANT BGAN TERMINAL. OUTFITTER SATELLITE WILL ATTEMPT TO CONTACT THE CUSTOMER OR AN AUTHORIZED USER USING THE CONTACT INFORMATION ON FILE TO PROVIDE GUIDANCE. ONCE COMPLIANCE WITH THE FUP IS RESTORED, THE ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT POLICY WILL BE REMOVED. USAGE MONITORING SYSTEM: AT THE WRITTEN REQUEST OF THE CUSTOMER, THE USAGE MONITORING SYSTEM CAN BE SET TO AUTOMATICALLY SUSPEND ALL SERVICES TO THE TERMINAL AFTER THE USAGE MONITORING SYSTEM DETECTS TOTAL MONTHLY STANDARD IP DATA USAGE EXCEEDING THE CUSTOMER’S REQUESTED USAGE THRESHOLD. THE CUSTOMER MUST AGREE AND UNDERSTAND THAT THE USAGE MONITORING SYSTEM WILL NOT DETECT THAT THE THRESHOLD HAS BEEN EXCEEDED IMMEDIATELY. INSTEAD, THERE WILL BE A TIME DELAY IN DETECTION WHICH IS USUALLY LESS THAN 30 MINUTES BUT CAN BE MUCH LONGER IF THERE IS A SCHEDULED OR UNSCHEDULED OUTAGE OF THE USAGE MONITORING SYSTEM. THIS MEANS THAT ADDITIONAL USAGE BEYOND THE CUSTOMER’S REQUESTED USAGE THRESHOLD CAN EASILY OCCUR, AND THE CUSTOMER AGREES THAT HE/SHE REMAINS LIABLE FOR ALL USAGE EVEN IF THE MONITORING SYSTEM FAILS TO PERFORM AS EXPECTED DUE TO CLERICAL ERROR, MONITORING SYSTEM ERROR OR USER MISUNDERSTANDING.
