Validity Rules: SIM Cards include $10 usage valid for 30 days from the date of activation or 6 months from the date of purchase. Service activation is the date upon which the first call is cancelled. Upon activation, an initial term of 12 months begins. A Renewal Fee of $39 is deducted from the SIM card's prepaid account on each 12-month anniversary of the first call made on the SIM card, and a new 12-month term begins. If the account balance is insufficient to pay the Renewal Fee, then the account will go into a 365-day grace period during which outgoing calls are not possible but calls and SMS messages can be received. If a reload voucher large enough to pay the Renewal Fee is not applied to the prepaid account during the grace period, the account will be deactivated and any remaining prepaid balance will be lost.

Consumption rates for the call types shown below apply to the circuit-switched voice and 9.6kbps data. If you have a GSM-capable Thuraya phone model, GSM cellular roaming is available from the prepaid balance on the SIM card. This agreement only covers Thuraya-mode rates. It is the customer's responsibility to know the rate for any type of call being made before making that call and to acknowledge and accept GSM cellular roaming charges if such calls are made.

Dormancy Fee: if a SIM card remains unused for 12 months, then a Dormancy Fee of $19 will be deducted from the SIM card's prepaid account each month until there is no remaining balance or a Thuraya-mode call is made from the SIM card.
